Why Youth Ministry?

youth jumpingYouth ministry is incredibly diverse… culture, socio-economic status, age, gender, spiritual state, friends, parental status, likes/dislikes and mental health just to name a few. We live in an ever changing world and young people are on the cusp of ever change good and bad. In many ways, it’s the hardest age to work with, in others, it’s by far the best! Yet with all the changes that are going on in their lives, many times it will be the stability and love of a church youth ministry (hopefully alongside Christian parents), through the power of the Holy Spirit’s guidance, that will help in forming the foundations of a lifelong faith in Jesus, within the hearts of young people. What a responsibility! Yet what a privilege.

It’s been said that every person’s life story is: like every other story, like some other stories and like no other stories. Your youth ministry is common, but unique. It will have similarities to other youth ministries, yet in some places you’ll be mapping new ground. And the young people you connect with are just like all others, like some others and like no other young people at all. Because of this, we’ve thrown as many resources as possible, to help you in your situation, but of course, you’ll need to look through it, take what’s useful and know that some won’t fit your youth ministry… for good reason.

We hope through providing the following resources, that you’ll be better equipped to run and develop your youth ministry with direction and purpose. We’d love your feedback on a specific part or the overall site, it would help us to grow and improve into the future: contact…
